CAS-DAS Module 3. Business and Human Rights
23-25 November 2017
Broad overview of the rapidly developing field of business and human rights – Introduction to UN Framework on Business and Human Rights and concept of corporate responsibility to respect human rights – Accountability mechanisms – Specific “hot spot” areas such as extractive industries and supply chain labour rights – Guest speakers from NGO and business communities.

This module precedes the Third United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights, taking place in Geneva on November 27-29, 2017. Interested course participants can get CSR-Unige accreditation to attend this event.

Environmental matters and their business implications: climate change, freshwater, biodiversity, waste, energy – Managing environmental issue with a view to innovation.

CAS-DAS Module 5. Multistakeholder Initiatives, Standards and Partnerships 
18-20 January 2018
Introduction to the context and main types of multi-stakeholder initiatives – Build specific skills to select and manage multi-stakeholder voluntary standards/codes of conduct and recognize opportunities and threats – Understand and select multi-stakeholder partnerships, from co-production between companies and NGOs to corporate philanthropic partnerships with IOs – Discuss make or buy decision on CSR projects, role and types of corporate foundations and challenges of managing a cross-sector CSR partnerships.

CAS-DAS Module 6. Systemic Approaches to Sustainability
8-10 February 2018
Gain an understanding of the importance of systemic thinking as an input to all aspects of strategic management and in particular as an indispensable key to thinking about CSR and sustainability imperatives – Map systems through loops, events charts, and behaviour over time graphs and feedback cycles – Learn to think in a practical way about the challenges and systemic issues which can face a company.

DAS Module 9. CR Reporting

CSR reporting: scope and limits, key impact indicators (KPIs) – Ranking systems – Measurement guidelines and methodologies such as Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Integrated Reporting.

DAS Module 10. CSR Strategy, Governance & Social Innovation
24-26 May 2018
ISO 26000 – Corporate Social Responsibility as an integral part of strategic management and Governance – Ensure a viable Business Model for long-term sustainability including evolving societal expectations – Challenge of Social Innovation as a new approach of cross-sectorial collaboration to achieve business and societal benefits. DAS Module 11. Change Management and Communicating CSR
