Executive education in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the University of Geneva

The University of Geneva’s HEC Executive Education in CSR program was launched in 2008. Since then, over 200 international professionals from the public and private sectors have attended our courses (see some of the organizations they work for). The program helps participants:

  • Understand the different aspects of CSR and how it helps institutions meet today‚Äôs global sustainability challenges and opportunities;
  • Master CSR tools and methodologies;
  • Become an innovative and responsible leader.

Certificate of Advanced Studies – CAS

The CAS covers the main aspects of CSR and sustainable development over six modules from September to February. Successful participants receive 18 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).

Diploma of Advanced Studies – DAS

Six additional modules, ongoing until June, must be completed to obtain the DAS and be awarded 36 ECTS credits. Previous holders of the CAS CSR automatically qualify for the Diploma course.

Executive MBA

The Diploma can be followed as a second year specialization of the University of Geneva’s Executive MBA.

CSR Executive Summer Course

The diploma hase a self-paced online introductory e-learning module followed by a 5-day intensive classroom session in Geneva. Students successfully completing the required examinations receive a Certificate of Completion representing 7 ECTS credits. Download the brochure

CSR Geneva Summer School

Designed for upper year undergraduates and MA students, this two-week course on Global CSR Issues provides participants with an understanding of the latest global challenges in sustainability and how they are addressed by the business sector and the United Nations. Successful participants receive 6 ECTS credits. Watch the GSS video
