Join us for the first CSR Thursday Lunch of 2017 on 19 January and learn how a construction company can successfully implement sustainability with Benoît Klein, Sustainability Manager at Implenia Suisse SA, who will present on “The sustainable approach of a large construction company”.
In his presentation, Benoît Klein will address the following questions:
- Why a construction company should integrate sustainability within its strategy?
- How to evolve the corporate culture? In the organization, with the tools, within projects
- What are the results and the perspectives?

About the Speaker
With an engineering background in environment and territory planning, Benoit Klein worked for the city of Montreal in Canada within the Eco-District programme, and then joined the organisation of the XIXth Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Further to these professional experiences, he undertook with success a master degree in sustainable building. This career shift enabled him to work for the programme of energy efficiency for the building stock of the international group Saint-Gobain, world leader in habitat, building materials and solutions. He then joined a research department specialized in environmental engineering.
Since 2014, he integrated the department of Swiss sustainable development of Implenia SA as a sustainable project manager. He currently supports the implementation of their sustainability strategy in particular for their operational entities (tunneling, real estate development, general contractor, civil engineering, structural work).
